EMERGO is an academic
peer-review journal of transforming economies and
societies. Through EMERGO we provide the
reader with fresh information about the changes taking
place in Central and Eastern Europe.
EMERGO is published
quarterly, and since its establishment in 1994 over forty
issues have appeared dealing with such topics as:
industrial policy, the redesign of fiscal systems, the
reorganisation of social welfare, company valuation in
the privatisation process, the emergence of real estate
markets, public administration in transition economies,
the environment in the Baltic region, information
technologies and the New Economy, the preparation of
transition economies for EU accession, pension reform,
and many others. EMERGO articles mainly
refer to the following countries: Russia, Estonia,
Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary,
Romania and Bulgaria.
